Note-taking comes naturally to me. Processing them never did.

My consistent note history goes back to 2021. Categorization, editing, deciding what matters — a huge barrier, even with PARA [1] and Second Brain [2]. Always other priorities, time already invested, reluctance to sit down and do it.

When LLMs arrived, I had an idea: they’re good at exactly what I’m not — processing text. I had the structure (PARA), the tool (Claude Code), the data (Second Brain in Logseq, Markdown). I decided to offload my reluctance instead of trying to overcome it.

Since January 2026, I haven’t missed a day of processing. /review-daily came first. From the habit, /review-weekly emerged — a Monday note can connect to a Friday one, I didn’t want to lose that. Then /review-monthly, /review-quarterly. Each command came into being because the previous one worked and I wanted more.

The reluctance to process never left. I just stopped needing it to.
