AI helped me most where I have no expertise

Am I better with AI? Definitely yes. Can I measure it? Not really.

In areas where I have expertise, I can’t say whether daily use of Claude Code is a genuine multiplier. Compared to how I worked three years ago — I’m honestly not sure.

What I do see as a real multiplier is something different: the ability to start on problems where I have no expertise.

For years I wanted to write a plugin for Logseq. One that would fit my way of working. Every time I tried, the documentation stopped me. The barrier wasn’t technical — it was time. Unknown domains take a long time before you see any result.

With Claude Code, I saw the result sooner. Partial expertise followed. And every next step got easier.

Today I have two public plugins — Night Owl theme and Remember my block. Both exist because I got past the threshold faster.

AI didn’t give me expertise. It got me past the threshold where expertise starts compounding on its own.
